I Vanara nascono nell’inverno del 2007, come cover band dei Deep Purple. Dopo entrate e uscite, la formazione si stabilizza nel maggio del 2009. Dopo un live demo ed il successivo “Light Shades”, la band torna in studio di registrazione per incidere altri nuovi pezzi, che insieme ai precedenti, andranno a formare “Wrapped by Light and Shades”.

Lo stile del gruppo, come da loro auto definizione, è Alternative Psycho Rock. Sicuramente si possono trovare sonorità molto vicine al grunge/metal, ma lo stile è sicuramente personale.

Dal CD è stato tratto il video “Defective Circle”, con le suggestive immagini della costa vastese.
